You can only be married to one Sim in Sims Freeplay, but you can have several lovers. Your husband/wife, for example, would not mind if you kissed another sim in their faces or direction, but your sim is unable to marry their other partners since they already have a husband/wife. So, while monogamy is permissible, it does not imply fidelity.
There are three ways to acquire new mates: through gifts from existing Sims, opportunities presented by living situations, and relationships with non-player characters.
Mates are considered essential in Sims Freeplay, meaning that without one, the game will not allow you to create a household. You can still play as an individual Sim, but they will need to find a place to live and work to earn money to afford rent or a mortgage. Also, Sims who are single cannot visit friends' houses or use leisure activities provided by neighborhoods.
In order to marry another Sim, you must become their spouse. This can be done by interacting with them until the "want to marry" option appears on the menu. Marrying a beautiful Sim will increase your chance of having children with her. Being kind will make her like you. After marrying, you can go to the wedding chapel to renew your vows for additional traits.
Sims can still have just one spouse, but they can have several additional lovers without the world dying. With The Sims 4, no sim is required to have several relationships, although the possibility exists.
They will be displayed on the family tree as separate icons, and will affect which home upgrades are available to them.
In order to add more Sims to your family tree, you'll need to create households for them. This can be done by either clicking "Create a New Family" at the bottom of the family tree or by using the Create a Sim command. You can have only one active household at a time, so once you've created all the families you want, you'll need to set one as the default and delete the others. You can find help with this process in our FAQ page.
Having multiple partners won't change any traits that are associated with being married. For example, your Sims will still get sick if they don't get enough rest, and they'll still age if they don't take care of themselves.
However, having multiple spouses allows you to give each one their own unique appearance. There are three ways to do this: via the Gallery, Custom Faces, or Love Me Tops.
No, you cannot Woohoo many Sims at the same time. In The Sims 3, your Sim can have a girlfriend or boyfriend and pursue love interests. They can establish and deepen such bonds until the Sims fall in love. Sims can then propose marriage to their girlfriend and finally marry her. If she dies, he will be heartbroken.
In The Sims 4, players can still woo their Sims with Love Potions. However, since relationships are integrated into the Life system, a Sim's relationship rating with another character impacts how likely they are to develop romantic feelings for them. If they gain enough likes over time, they may even get a proposal from their partner!
Players can also create romance options for non-player characters (NPCs). These options will determine what kind of reaction the Sim will receive when they develop feelings for the character. There are four possible outcomes: accept, reject, ignore, or trigger emotions. A Sim must spend energy to learn more about an option. Once they reach max energy, they become aware of its existence but cannot learn any further information about it.
Finally, players can create custom options for NPCs. These options can be anything from "Looks Underwearable" to "Loves to Dance." When this option is available, players can give it to the NPC and they will learn about it if they have not already.
Marriage in The Sims: Any two opposite-sex adults can marry in The Sims. Either Sim can propose, but the proposer must be present. Whether or not the other Sim accepts is determined on their mood or the two Sims' relationship. If the other Sim is happy, they will say "Yes!" Otherwise, they will say "No." A marriage contract can then be signed by either party.
In The Sims 3, marriages have been added to the game. These marriages are considered real-world relationships in which two people participate together in weddings and wedding ceremonies (including Sims who are already married). Marriage contracts can also be signed by both parties in this version. In addition, parents can perform marriages for their children when they reach the age of 12. This allows players to create families out of characters that cannot otherwise get married.
In The Sims 4, marriages have been added as a lifetime goal option that requires the player to spend nights in a bed with another life goal partner. If the player fails to spend nights with their spouse, they will divorce after three months. Players can also choose to get divorced immediately if they decide that they do not want to get back together with their spouse.
Sims can also become Life Partners. Two Sims become life partners if they meet all the requirements for a romantic relationship and if neither sim has a boyfriend or girlfriend.
Your Sims may now be in a relationship with (and marry) more than one person at the same time thanks to the polygamy mod. You may date numerous attractive blondes like Hugh Hefner, or you can even engage into a group marriage—let your freak flag fly! All without the vexing thorn of envy getting in the way.
The mod was created by Tressa and Gavin, and it's available on GitHub. It allows you to marry multiple people at once, have multiple marriages at once, and control which Sim gets married or divorced. There's also a new religion called "Polygamy" that lets you practice plural marriage.
You can find all kinds of useful mods for Sims 4, including mods that allow you to become a vampire or a werewolf, create-a-sims features that let you make your own worlds, improve gameplay by changing the graphics or music, and much more.
Polygamy This mod is only for you. However, don't expect any of your Sim's to change genders or get makeovers. This mod is intended to keep things simple rather than complicate matters.
So yes, your Sims can have more than one spouse at once. It is allowed by default but will require this mod to become active. There are some limitations such as no changes to traits or relationships beyond what is already available so don't expect your Sims to start acting like Mr. and Mrs. Perfect anytime soon.
This mod was created by Zeno Rocha and it is available on Nexus Mods. It is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License. Here is how they describe themselves: "Zeno's Sims 4 Mod Collection offers over 100 mods that combine to create an unparalleled experience." I would say they're right!
If you install this mod, you can expect to see new options appear in the Relationship Status menu when creating a new city file.
